I graduated from the University of Georgia in 2016 after studying digital/broadcast journalism, political science and Spanish. I was named one of UGA's Amazing Students and was a recipient of the Presidential Award of Excellence, which recognizes less than 1 percent of UGA students for their achievements.

Selected as one of 26 students to cover news in New York City under the supervision of reporters and editors from The New York Times. Awarded the Armando Montaño Scholarship.
2015 Cox-Poynter Media Leader
One of 13 students selected to learn from leaders from different industries and complete leadership lessons from Poynter’s NewsU.

Produced news about the Athens-Clarke County and UGA. Advanced the outlet's digital presence, advocating for new story formats.

2015 McGill Fellow of Journalistic Courage
One of 12 students selected to participate in the McGill Symposium. The program honors Ralph McGill’s courage as editor of the AJC.

Conducted undergraduate research on mobile video
Mobile eye-tracking results supported that different story formats can significantly influence mobile viewers' recall and attitudes toward news content.
