CNN.
I'm a senior global digital programming producer at CNN, who leads the network's weekend programming across digital platforms. I create engaging and informative frames into the day's top news through the alerts and headlines that appear on CNN's desktop and mobile homepages.
My background in breaking news, audience development and content strategy contributed to CNN's audience records, including reaching record highs on mobile platforms. I coordinate with content teams to plan for coverage from pop culture to identity politics, writing about some of the biggest conversations and news events.
MY SKILLS.
I have a passion for entertainment as well as race, gender and identity. I have written stories covering the intersection of politics and pop culture, including this explainer on the history of racist makeup after pictures emerged of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in blackface. I discussed my piece during a live interview with CNN's Brianna Keilar.
I was a part of a cross-functional team that launched CNN's first entertainment newsletter, a product designed to reach new audiences and allow them to engage deeper into our pop culture coverage. I created the newsletter's framework and collaborated on its design as well as produced and edited each week's edition.
I was a co-host on Pop Life Pop Off, a culture and entertainment show on CNN.com and YouTube. Alongside senior writer Lisa Respers France, we talked about entertainment's intersection with real world topics ranging from race and equality to internet culture to generational differences.
